Cars Direct

Merge: Solotopia and Guru Habits have been merged into this site.

Some time ago, I bought a new car online! I got a fantastic deal, the entire process went smoothly, and there were none of the problems you’d normally associate with car buying. It was truly a wonderful experience.

I did not shop at a dealer’s website. I used an independent service called Cars Direct. On their website, you can pick any vehicle you want and select the color, equipment, and accessories.

Once you’ve made your selections, you’ll see the final price. I compared the price online using Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds, and these sites confirmed that I was getting an incredible deal!

The advantages of using an independent service like Cars Direct over going through a dealer’s internet sales department are as follows: An independent service has access to the inventories of hundreds of dealers, so your chances of getting exactly what you want are much greater. An independent service operates under different conditions and philosophies than a dealer.

Check out Cars Direct if you want to get the best deal without all the pressure, games, and hassles of going to a dealership.

Update: The process at Cars Direct appears to have changed since I did this review. In addition, there are now many more online options that should be considered.
