This short article is an introduction to the fitness fans article category.
I haven’t always been the health nut I am today, but I have always been interested in it. Even when living an unhealthy lifestyle, I was drawn to fitness tips I saw on television (mostly public stations), in magazines, and on the Internet.
I guess many of us go through a period of eating junk food, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, or other crazy things when we are young and feeling invincible. I certainly had more than my fair share.
I wanted more than those activities could provide. I wanted to learn to create my own natural highs. I wanted to look healthy and fit. And I wanted to look that way in my later years. I wanted to feel great and have as much energy as possible.
I also wanted to avoid those crippling health problems that some people get in their senior years because they ignored fitness principles and ate, drank, and smoked whatever would give them momentary pleasure.
The great thing about a healthy lifestyle is that the more you feel great and see results in the mirror, the more fitness tips you want to acquire and put into practice.
The short version of my story is this. I gave up junk food, cigarettes, and a sedentary lifestyle and began an ongoing education and practice of healthy eating and exercise. I have dabbled on the dark side now and then and eaten things that I don’t consider healthy, but 95% of the time, I’ve managed to stay on track.
In the fitness fans article category, you’ll find out how I get up at 5:00 a.m. or earlier, exercise using an inexpensive home gym, and power walk for several miles six days a week. You’ll also find out how I stay motivated, what foods I eat, and the vitamin supplements I take. And you’ll find out how all these activities help me maintain my ideal weight within a few pounds.
Once you start learning about fitness, putting it into practice, and seeing results, you’ll find yourself seeking out fitness tips to improve even further.
To your health and fitness.
