Going 100% organic is a smart move. I was surprised to discover that it is also less expensive than you might imagine.
I will cover why going organic is important, what products are available, and how non-food organic products perform.
Why go 100% organic
You choose to buy 100% organic to avoid getting any traces of highly toxic and cancer-causing herbicides and pesticides in and on your body. And in animal-based products, to avoid consuming antibiotics, synthetic hormones, and pesticides.
In addition, to avoid genetically modified foods (GMOs = GM Organism). These are crops created by way of genetic manipulation. Most GMO crops like corn, soybeans, and cotton were created to tolerate herbicides. The leader in this effort was Monsanto the maker of the herbicide Roundup. The World Health Organization has classified glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, as probably carcinogenic in humans. Monsanto was also the producer of the cancer, disease, and deformity-causing Agent Orange (used during the Vietnam War) and the artificial sweetener saccharin, a probable carcinogenic. Monsanto was sold to Bayer, a pharmaceutical company, in 2018. No surprises with who the buyer was or why Monsanto was thrilled to sell.
Finally, organic foods are more nutritious, better tasting, and protect the environment.

Organic 100% cotton bed sheets and bath towels
I would never have considered getting organic bed sheets and bath towels until I learned how heavily cotton is sprayed with pesticides. Cotton is considered the world’s dirtiest crop.
I’ve noticed the difference in how organic sheets and towels feel, smell, and wash. Getting white ones without the color dyes (which are organic) is also an advantage when cleaning them. They come out of a wash brilliantly white and fresh-smelling. I only use “clear,” unscented liquid laundry detergent and fabric softener dryer sheets. In addition, instead of using harsh bleach, I use vinegar (see warning below), which sanitizes, softens, and freshens.
Warning: Never mix vinegar and bleach, as this produces toxic chlorine gas. Bleach should also never be mixed with ammonia, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, or similar, as these all create toxic gases.
It took me about three months to transition to 100% organic. Most of the change took place during the first 30 days, however.
Eating only organic foods, sleeping on organic bed sheets, and drying myself after a shower with organic towels feels good. I’d also like to wear organic cotton underclothing, which I expect to become available relatively soon.
Get more health and peace by going 100% organic.
