The ideal tiny house arrangement creates the greatest amount of freedom. This would mean going off the grid and being mobile.
Going off the grid primarily means producing your own electricity through solar panels and/or a wind turbine. Going off the grid completely would also include supplying your cooking and heating fuel, collecting your water, and handling your toilet waste with a composting device or septic tank.
The mobile part enables you to easily move for any reason. For example, if you have a noisy neighbor or find a better location. The other advantage and it’s big, is that your tiny house can get around the minimum square footage requirements that many cities have because it’s on a trailer. 🙂
People have told me, “I could never live in a small house, let alone a tiny one.” These folks are often chained to their “stuff” and an image of the ideal lifestyle created for them through various media.
Tiny living is about breaking out of the box and creating a lifestyle that gives you much more freedom! And it works in every case I’ve come across.
