Personal Development Requires Nonconforming

Personal development often requires that you be nonconforming. This means your path goes against conventional ways of doing things.

Since birth, we have been taught through advertising what we are supposed to eat, wear, and drive to experience pleasure, popularity, and prestige. Most of what we have been indoctrinated about through these carefully crafted ads does not deliver as promised. One of the best examples is the foods we have been told are good for us.

Once you learn the truth about food products, for example, through documentaries like these, you re-educate yourself, reject conventionality, and change course. You become a nonconformist. Here’s what the conforming and nonconforming paths look like.

The conforming path is mindless activity, competitive relationships, junk food, spectatorship, drug reliance, stuff accumulation, large, wasteful, and complex. This leads to mediocrity, conflict, disease, chubbiness, depression, debt, anxiety, and confinement!

The nonconforming path is mind enriching activity, supportive relationships, healthy diet, exercise, vitamin supplementation, minimalist, small, efficient, and simple. This leads to wisdom, charisma, radiant health, trimness, optimism, wealth, peace, and freedom!

The conventional path is easy, popular, and unconsciously directed by powerful institutions. The nonconforming path is courageous, rare, and consciously directly by you!

The nonconforming path is far less traveled but is occupied by intelligent, joyful, kind, and principled people. They emit a vibe of peacefulness and love that shows they have found the secret to quality living.

Clearly, the nonconforming path is the better choice. It’s also a lot of fun to be different, and it’s smart!
