14 Qualities of People Captivated by Tiny Living

Tactical Dating Questions
400 plus 100

by Brad Paul, Propel Publications

People captivated by tiny living seem to share many of the same qualities. Here’s a list of my observed characteristics and details on why each fits and/or is true.

People who are drawn to the tiny lifestyle are…

  1. Smart – Being intelligent is a prerequisite, as I see it. Dim-witted people wouldn’t be able to recognize the brilliance and beauty of tiny living.
  2. Principled – Principles lead people to tiny living and keep them committed.
  3. Focused – The ability to stay on purpose is needed because tiny living is unconventional and relatively new.
  4. Tenacious – It takes determination to persuade local authorities to allow them to build a small house or community.
  5. Innovative – It requires creativity to find ways to make the most of small spaces and things.
  6. Optimistic – Positive people see the advantages of tiny living. Negative people see the disadvantages.
  7. Idealistic – They imagine what’s possible for the ultimate lifestyle and do it.
  8. Enthusiastic – Tiny living offers so many great opportunities that it’s impossible not to get excited.
  9. Resourceful – All pioneers are imaginative, even if they didn’t start out that way.
  10. Frugal – The financial rewards are one of the biggest incentives for tiny living. And only a person who’s smart about money matters could appreciate this.
  11. Unconventional – The nonconforming lens through which they view the world inspires them to go down this less-traveled path.
  12. Environmentalists – Love of nature inspires them to protect it in every area of their lives.
  13. Compassionate – They readily share what they know about tiny living so others can benefit.
  14. Kind – A person cannot have the above qualities without being kind. It would not work.

I’m sure there are more, but this is what I’ve observed so far.
