Show Who You Are

Starting from your first date, it is crucial that you show who you are—your principles, your boundaries, your desires, your essence. This is the most important aspect of dating.

Showing who you are lets you determine early on if the person you’re dating is worth your time. Paying attention to how they respond to your principles, boundaries, and desires is how. Do they respect them and comply with them? Or do they ignore them or try to change you?

The tendency is to behave at our best during early dates. Men and women’s motivations for this are different, of course. Men want sex. Women want a relationship. If you end up a few weeks, months, or even years later with someone who does not know your true self and violates many of your unknown boundaries and principles, what’s the relationship worth? Very little.

So what are you left with if you do not let dating partners know who you are? You’re left with a lot of frustrating, unfulfilling, and wasted time. To avoid this, it is imperative that you express who you are at your core straight away from the beginning. To do otherwise by molding yourself to them is giving up your power, values, dreams, and spirit.
