The things that make a person attractive and charismatic have little to do with their appearance. Surely, you’ve met people whose good looks are overshadowed by their “negative” self-appraisal, attitude, and behavior. Or their “egotistical” self-appraisal, attitude, and behavior.
You have also likely met people whose “positive” self-appraisal, attitude, and behavior overshadowed flaws in their appearance. That old saying is accurate: “It’s what is on the inside that really counts.”
The type of genuine attractiveness and charisma I am talking about draws lovers, friends, colleagues, and strangers to you. Those who observe a person with these qualities may respect and admire them for unknown reasons. This may happen even if they do not agree with their philosophies, politics, or religion.
Here’s an example of what I am talking about. Consider those who became the highly successful leaders of a country or company even though they did not have movie star looks or a bodybuilder’s physique. Some that come to mind are Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, and Lee Iacocca.
Good looks may help, but you will not reach your potential if you lack internal qualities.
Here are the things that make a person attractive and charismatic.
- Self-loving
- Self-confident
- Self-directed
- Courageous
- Optimistic
- Grateful
- Humble
- Genuine
- Spirited
- Courteous
- Kind
- Cheerful
- Focused
- Alert
- Attentive
- Listener
- Communicator
- Clean
- Fragrant
- Groomed
- Dressed
- Fit
- Compassionate
- Reliable
- Organized
- Knowledgeable
The opposite of these things is what makes a person unattractive. Having rockstar looks or a perfect body are not prerequisites or requirements for attractiveness. I’ve met many below-average-looking people who are attractive and charismatic. If you think about it, so have you.
