Built-in Bunk Beds Fit Small Houses

Merge: Solotopia and Guru Habits have been merged into this site.

If you have children and want to downsize to a small house, one of your concerns may be whether there will be enough room for them. With a bit of creativity, there will be plenty.

Note: This article is part of a small and tiny houses article series.

Children are adaptable if not taught otherwise (e.g., spoiled). Therefore, moving them to smaller quarters should not be a problem. If you install space-saving built-in bunk beds in your new small home and add a few cool accessories, they will likely see it as an upgrade. Then you can have your small house and all the advantages that go with it, and everyone will be happy. 🙂

Here’s a short photo tour of a few clever built-in bunk beds. Keep in mind that you can install more than two bunks in a single room. If you do, however, you might need to add a soundproof (cell) phone booth. 😀 Seriously! Get creative. That’s what “tiny living” is all about. Maybe it should be included in a broader category called “smart living.” Enjoy the tour.

I hope this short photo tour of built-in bunk beds inspired you. If you want to see more, go to this article, “Bunk Rooms Rock in Small Houses.” All of the photos there have more than two bunks, and some of the bunk rooms have enough beds for a bunch of kids.
